General Information

Artwork: Artwork is $40.00 per hour in 15 minute increments. Camera ready artwork provided, for more than a one color imprint, will require an art charge. Artwork should be faxed or e mailed for a quote. Minimum art charge is $21.43(T). All screens and film will remain the property of ALG. Original artwork will be returned to the customer upon request.
Art Approval: All new artwork or copy changes are approved by fax. Pre-Production Proofs, color copies, and e-mails are available.
Pre-Production Proofs: See information on product pages.
Speculative & Random Samples: Speculative samples are double the amount of Pre-Production Proofs. Random samples are free. Call for details. If samples are needed from a production order, please clearly indicate this on your purchase order.
Computer Compatibility: We are PC and Macintosh compatible (Photoshop 6.0, Adobe Illustrator 9.0, QuarkXPress 4.1, Freehand 8.0, and CorelDraw 8.0). We accept Zip, Jaz, CD-ROM, and standard 3.5” disks. Please include file and color print out of art with disk. Text fonts must be included on disk with artwork or converted to curves/outlines. See page 17 for more details.
Customer Separations: Process separations supplied by the customer will not be accepted. Our separations are created specifically for garments and other products printed in our plant. Please let us prepare your separations. Spot color halftones should also be done by us to account for proper dot gain.
Halftones, Tints or Detail: We print 35 - 65 line screen halftones in most cases and higher (90-120) for HiRes AccuColor. Halftones with a line screen greater than 35 line are subject to setup & printing up-charges. Call for details.
Resize and Duplication: In the event a Four Color Process or HiRes AccuColor image must be resized or duplicated, we will charge 70% of the full price for the 2nd size. Spot color resizing will be charged at the normal setup per color.
Printing on Youth & Adult Garments: Designs to be printed on both adult and youth sized garments will require (2) sets of screens and setup charges will apply for each set of screens. Imprint pricing will be based on quantity of each design size, not the combination of adult & youth sizes. However, an imprint size can be determined to fit on both adult and youth sizes to avoid such charges.
Standard Garment Imprint Sizes (w x h): Unless indicated otherwise in writing on your purchase order, we will use best judgement to determine final size. We will NOT assume that image size on disk is correct.

Lapel Pin and Emblem Sizes: Pin sizes are determined by the longest dimension. Embroidered emblem size is determined by the addition of length & width divided by 2. Larger sizes available than shown in catalog. Please call.
Standard Ink Colors: With exception of Lapel Pins, Key Tags, & Coins/Medallions, non-standard colors will be charged $40.00 ea. (R)

Quantity Pricing: Based on the quantity of each item. Adult and youth size imprints can not be combined unless the same size imprint is used. In most cases, the same imprint on different items can not be combined (ie: crest print on T-shirts and polos). Please call for detail.
Written Orders: All orders are required to be in writing to insure accuracy.
Cancellations: No cancellations will be accepted for finished merchandise. Cancellations made prior to production will be billed for all charges incurred up to that date. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
Production Time (wearables, mousepads, coasters, jar openers): Normal ship date is 7-10 working days from receipt of your written purchase order and artwork. Allow an additional week for Four Color Process and HiRes AccuColor separations. Add 3-5 days for Pre-Production Proofs.
Production Time (lapel pins, key tags, coins/medallions, and emblems): 5 or 8 week delivery is available for most lapel pins and related items (see pin prices on pages 12-13). The following items are NOT available for 8 week price, delivery is 5 weeks: Simple Elegance Pins, Coins, Medallions, Key Tags, and Emblems (patches). Delivery time is from receipt of your written purchase order and artwork. Allow one additional week for art adjustment and/or recreation. Allow 2-3 additional weeks for Pre-Production Proofs.
Rush Orders: Available on all products. Rush charges will apply. Call for details.
Over and Under Runs: Allow 5% for over or under runs.
Exact Quantity: Exact quantity is available for an upcharge. Call for details.
Spoilage (wearables): We will not be responsible for spoilage up to 2% for orders over 144 units or 5% for orders less than 144 units on contracted goods. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to order more garments than needed for each size.
Packaging (wearables): Prices include printers bulk dozen fold. T-shirts are packed 72/case, Sweatshirts 36/case, Caps 144/case, Tote Bags 72/case. See additional charges for special packaging requirements on page 11 or call for more details.
Packaging (lapel pins, key tags, coins/medallions, and emblems): See packaging price options on page 14. Product prices include bulk packing. Pins, Key Tags, and Coins/Medallions include individual polybags grouped in master bags of 100. Emblems are not polybagged and are grouped in master bags of 50.
Packaging (mousepads, coasters, jar openers): Bulk pack: Quantity per case varies depending on order.
Shipping: F.O.B. Illinois. UPS ground unless specified otherwise. Changes must be made in writing 24 hours before shipping.
Drop Shipments: Private labels & packing slips provided. Multiple drop shipments are charged $7.14(T) per location. No C.O.D.’s.
Claims & Returns: Claims must be made within 72 hours from receipt of merchandise. Please call immediately to make all necessary arrangements.
